The TLCC invites owners and users of all makes and models of four wheel drive vehicles, that have the capability to successfully complete our course in Basic Four Wheel Driving, to join our Club and enjoy the many benefits offered to our members. Full membership entitles members and their children to use either of the Club properties; Koolandilly or Willowglen any day of the year. Family membership provides full membership, voting rights and driver training for two persons.
To join the TLCC, complete the Online Membership Application for instant access to Member Benefits.
Some 4WD or all-wheel drive vehicles may not be capable of successfully completing our training course, either due to lack of a low range drive or axle articulation and road clearance. These would thereby not qualify for Club membership. Enquiries to the Membership Secretary can clarify whether your vehicle is in this category. All other vehicles, regardless of make, are welcome to join. Many of our near-on 1000 members do not drive Toyota vehicles.
Once a Membership Application is accepted, it remains provisional until the Basic Four Wheel Driving Course is successfully completed, within three months of joining the Club. This course is free of charge and is fully accredited, consisting of three modules, conducted over two days and one evening, for both the member and their partner.
On course completion, we issue you with a Statement of Attainment and you will then be qualified to drive on the Club properties and on Club trips.
Members receive the TLCC News, a free bi-monthly magazine with a list of all upcoming events and Club news.
Club 4WD trips from one-day/weekend trips around Sydney to Australia-wide are also listed in the magazine. All trips are graded from easy (2WD capable) in various stages to very hard (winching and snatching likely).
Advanced Driver Training courses and other 4WD related courses are also available throughout the year and listed in the magazine.
Koolandilly at Mittagong provides 94 hectares of passive recreation and camping areas alongside the sparkling, unpolluted Wollondilly River. BBQ and shelter shed, children's playground, hot showers and toilet facilities are available. Koolandilly is our choice for most social gatherings and we hold regular annual events including a children's Christmas Party, Easter Celebrations, June Fireworks Night and Halloween.
Willowglen provides 120 hectares of bushland with 4WD tracks of all degrees of difficulty for drivers with skills varying from trainee to skilled 4WD competitor. It has many areas suitable for camping, a shelter shed with kitchen & BBQ facilities, flushing toilets and hot showers are available. Willowglen is used for our major 4WD competition event (the Willowglen Challenge) and annual Funkhana and is where new member driver training takes place.
Every year on the October Long Weekend, the TLCC hosts the Willowglen Challenge for 4WD enthusiasts. As a member, enjoy being part of this growing event that sees clubs from all over the state compete for individual and club titles.
On behalf of the ACT All Terrain Club, I’d like to say thanks for continuing to putting on another great Willowglen Challenge weekend. Willowglen is one of the standout 4WD events that will, hopefully, be around for many years to come. I would also like to say thanks to the Challenge Committee, Stage Marshalls, Officials, Recovery Crews and all those involved. The amount of time and effort that goes into running such an event in not lost on the competitors, and we all really appreciate it. If it wasn’t for that time and effort, there wouldn’t be a Willowglen. We are already looking forward to next year
Thanks to the TLCC for hosting the Willowglen challenge. Tracks were great. Cheers on behalf of the Canobloas club.
On behalf of the On all 4's 4wd club I would like to thank TLCC for another great weekend, we all had a blast. Yet again it was another very well run event
Just wanted to say well done to the TLCC organising committee, the volunteers, marshals & yourself who have all excelled once again in what we have found to be one of the best run competitions of professional standards in NSW. From both a competitor & spectator point of view, the Macarthur Club members appreciate all the time & effort that goes into the preparation & running an event of this calibre, by your tremendous hard working body of volunteers. We loved every aspect of it all & we look forward to next year already. Please pass on our huge thanks to the Willowglen team on our behalf.
To our fellow Competitors – thanks for another great weekend. To be with a group of likeminded people, many of whom have become good friends, enjoying a sport we all love – what better way to spend a few days!! And to see competing teams supporting each other, cheering each other on, offering help when needed and sharing a few laughs at the end of the day is pretty cool. Belinda
Big thanks to the TLCC for another great and well run event.
Big Thanks to the TLCC and other clubs/competitors for another top weekend.
