Sand Driving Training - 27 June 26

Event Details

The course covers the basics of sand driving for the novice. Also fun for the experienced. This is a one-day course. You get to drive over much of the dunes at the iconic Stockton Beach and experience all the different types of sand terrain on offer. This is a good day out and a must for those wishing to undertake desert travel or extended sand driving on beaches.

Beach Permit

Obtain a beach permit across the road from McDonalds, at the Metro Service Station, preferably before 9am.

• 3 day permit $33
• annual permit $88
• annual pensioner permit $44
• annual RVA permit $88 (for conditionally registered quads & motorbikes)
• replacement permit $20

What to bring

Basic recovery gear if you have some, ie, equaliser strap, snatch strap, chackles. The presenter will have recovery gear.

• air compressor (presenter will have two spares)
• tyre gauge (presenter will have one spare)
• recovery points (front and rear)
• something to eat and drink

Note: there are no toilet facilities on the beach. If you need to duck behind a dune for a comfort stop, please do so.

NOTE: You cannot book onto any Driving course until you have completed your Basic Driver Training
