Chainsaw Course - 21 to 22 September 2024

Extremely popular course. You will need to bring your own chainsaw for the practical component of the course. Lots of great hands on information provided by people who earn their living using chainsaws. A very strong emphasis is places on how to safely operate a chainsaw. Both petrol and battery chainsaws are suitable for the course. Theory and practical training is on the nominated weekend dates at Willowglen.

  • Saw safety
  • Clothing
  • First aid
  • Starting procedures
  • Use
  • Fuels
  • Maintenance
  • Chain sharpening
  • Fuels and oils to be used

You will need:

  • Your own chainsaw
  • Your own maintenance/sharpening/cleaning equipment for the saw
  • HiVis vest – as well as eye and ear protection
  • Leather gloves (rigger style)
  • Long pants and/or safety chaps
  • Closed in shoes, steel caps preferred
  • Your own petrol and bar oil
  • Your own battery chargers (if relevant)

Location: Theory and Practical - Willowglen
Duration: Willowglen - 2 Days.
