In the middle of the Australian outback, 1000 miles from the closest city, the world’s most advanced satellite ground station quietly listens. Shrouded in mystery for more than 40 years, the Joint Defence Facility Pine Gap has been an enigma to those who have patiently waited to discover its secrets.
David was employed as a civilian by the United States National Security Agency (NSA) for 23 years, completing his last 18 years with the Agency in Operations at the Joint Defence Facility Pine Gap in Alice Springs. When he left in 2008, he was the United States government’s longest serving technical liaison officer in Australia. He became an Australian citizen in 2009. David will have copies of his book for sale at the meeting for $30 each.

Most club Members have carried out some form of modification to their 4WD.
Under the Vehicle Safety Compliance Certification Scheme (VSCCS), modified vehicles and non-standard vehicles may be assessed to check if they comply with legislated vehicle standards. Vehicles that comply with the standards and do not pose a safety risk are issued with a VSCCS compliance certificate.
Ben is a Licensed Certifier authorised to assess vehicles and modifications within his particular areas of expertise.
