Are you up for the Challenge? It’s on again in 2010
The TLCC Willowglen 4x4 Challenge is an exciting team based 4WD event which sees more than 20 teams from various registered 4WD clubs from NSW & ACT competing over the October Long Weekend each year. This year that’s the 2nd & 3rd October.
The competition stages are designed to suit both competitors and spectators and ensure maximum enjoyment, speedy recovery of vehicles and continuous running of events. All stages are a test of both driver skill and vehicle capability.
Where is Willowglen? TLCC property ‘Willowglen’ is located near Tarago some 40 minutes south of Goulburn, NSW. On the weekend, direction signs are posted along the road giving directions to the Challenge from Tarago. Importantly, you don’t need a 4WD to get there. The property and car parks can be accessed by 2WD. return to top Is the Challenge a family event? Absolutely, like many of the registered clubs, TLCC is a family orientated club and as a result will host a fun-filled family orientated weekend. return to top Can I camp at Willowglen? We would love you to! Ample designated camping sites and toilets will be established for the weekend. We ask you to leave pets, fireworks, pyrotechnics, firearms and other crowd disturbing items at home. We also ask that you follow our instructions on the Club land particularly in relation to fire bans, restricted areas and in particular signage relating to driving and walking tracks. return to top What do I need to bring? Everything you need to make the weekend comfortable including your own drinking water. There is no potable water on the Willowglen Property. During the event, food & drinks will be sold by the local Tarago Sporting Association (TSA) with all proceeds remaining in the local community. Finally help us keep Willowglen clean – Whatever you bring in with you – please take home with you. Garbage bags will be provided to you on entry to the property and will be throughout the competition areas. return to top What does it cost?
